“Devotion to the truth is the hallmark of morality; there is no greater, nobler, more heroic form of devotion than the act of a man who assumes the responsibility of thinking.” ― Ayn Rand,
When the Chinese communist dictator Mao Ze Dong came to power during the 1960s, he led college students across the country in a deadly movement called “The Cultural Revolution.” Effectively able to brainwash students who were struggling under debt, Mao compelled them to slaughter all educated people. Doctors, lawyers, teachers, and family were killed by their sons and daughters under his direction. The story of the cultural revolution is a serious reminder of what can happen when students allow someone else to control their minds.
Today we face a situation that bears a frightening resemblance. Across the country, the liberal academia has begun to indoctrinate our nation’s youth into liberalism by limiting their exposure to opposing ideas. Education now trains minds instead of cultivating individual thought, there is a very real possibility that history will repeat itself.
We are the resistance. Challenging the beliefs forced upon students in the classroom, The Rabble-Rouser respects a diversity of opinions while rejecting notions of prejudice. We stand to remind the country of the values that were eternalized in the single greatest document to ever exist: the United States Constitution. Guided by our beliefs in Liberty, Free Enterprize, Personal Responsibility and Family, The Rabble-Rouser defends the independent mind and encourages civil discourse.
