Founded in early 2016, the Rouser has grown from a handful of college students to nearly 150 contributors from around the world, earning us millions of impressions every month.

Here we offer a multi-worldview platform to millennials dedicated to defending life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. While most of us are college students, Millennials are defined as those ages 18-34 in the year 2015. We’ve designed the site to grow with our contributors throughout our lives, facilitating a diverse environment for the free exchange of ideas as we develop our personal philosophies and analyze politics.

While the technological revolution has brought great advances, our generation is increasingly bombarded with subliminal messaging from television and alternative forms of media. Many of us have become syncretists, combining ideas without a proper framework from which to gauge them. This causes great mental confusion while we navigate our campuses and careers. This is becoming increasingly true for younger generations as the mental health crisis continues to grow. As such, our younger brothers and sisters will no longer be able to glean their values from society, but must now actively study philosophy to defend the integrity of their mind.

Integrity is defined as “The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.” Our contributors are required, not simply to carry out their principles in their writing, but to uncompromisingly exemplify them in their lives outside of the publication as well. We all make mistakes, but there is no justification for error, only repentance.

We recognize that there are several student-run publications out there, but what has continually distinguished us has been our self-motivation and serious dedication to journalism ethics. This dedication has resulted in our work reaching the upper echelons of political commentators, and politicians—being shared by Ben Shapiro, Prager University, Michel Malkin, James Woods and Cassandra Fairbanks—just to name a few—as well as being featured on news outlets from Fox News to MTV.

Combining breaking news alongside thoughtful philosophical discussion from multiple perspectives, our goal is to blast through tribalism, unafraid to consider other points of view. We will never censor our authors, allowing us all to grow through dialogue.

We want our group to represent the BEST of our generation, and my personal goal is to encourage our writers to be the best they can be in succeeding their goals, bearing in mind that we create the world we want to live in. My dream is to help people understand each other so that one day, even if we don’t agree with each other, we can live peacefully with the freedom to be who we want to be (JUST DON’T BREAK THE N.A.P!!).
