It’s a funny line from a funny movie, but what is happening in our world is anything but funny. After yet another terrorist attack in Berlin, and one in Turkey, why isn’t the derailment of Radical Islam numbers 1, 2, & 3 on every single politician’s to-do list? The lack of curtailment of this unrelentingly violent sect of a religion is a direct threat to every free people across this world, even, as we saw in Indonesia, majority Muslim countries.
Keith Olbermann is making a complete buffoon of himself on his new Youtube-based, GQ-funded ‘news’ show “The Resistance.” Last week, he said we are at war… with Russia. He’s half right. We are at war, but not with Russia, who actually showed an impressive amount of restraint today which hopefully continues in the days and weeks and years to follow. We are at war with Radical Islam. I don’t even mean ISIS. I’m talking about the ideology of Radical Islam, a violent sect of an oddly violent religion that can no longer be treated with kid gloves. American and European politicians continue to dance around the topic and act like this violence is going to go away. It’s not going away and in fact, it’s getting worse. From San Bernadino to Orlando, and Minnesota to Ohio; Paris to Brussels to Nice to Paris, AGAIN, and now to Berlin, with countless others in between, it’s fair to sit down and question: what the hell are our politicians doing?
Qu’ran 2:191- “And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out.”
Qu’ran 3:56- “As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help.”
Qu’ran 3:151- “Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority”.
Qu’ran 4:89– “They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks.”
Qu’ran 8:12 “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.”
I wish that was all of them, but it is not. Not even close. Honestly, though, do we even need to read the Qu’ran to understand that this religion is violent? Attack after attack should be all the requisite evidence. I won’t deny that American involvement in the Middle East, especially the use of drones, has undoubtedly mustered up more terrorists than there otherwise would have been and raised the level of outrage in the process. But regardless of how we got here, this is a war.
Europe was all too happy to open their borders and they have been repaid with one brutal terrorist attack after the next. Europe is no longer safe. America must protect its borders now more than ever as ISIS has and will continue to attempt to smuggle in terrorists through our borders.
I want to take a moment and say that this is not an excuse to treat a Muslim poorly. There is never an excuse for that.
However, this does mean that we cannot get sucked into the identity politics, political correct nonsense the left preaches. We must be diligent. We must investigate those acting suspiciously, including Muslims. We must not apologize for dutifully performing tasks designed to keep American citizens safe. But, most of all, we need American politicians to stand up and admit that we are in a war. It’s a different war that must be fought and strategized about differently and uniquely. We cannot continue to have politicians who, in their desire to not offend for the sake of political correctness, fail to acknowledge the threat of Radical Islamic terror on not only this country, but the west as a whole.
This is the sad reality of the world today, but it is reality nonetheless. Radical Islamic terror must be stopped. Before it can be stopped, however, it must first be acknowledged. But, until it is, I’ll continue my steady diet of crazy pills.
